I began my art career studying fine art and architecture

at The Cooper Union in New York City,

graduating with a BFA. I worked as an Art Director in Advertising in NYC,

and then abandoned “a career in panty hose”.

I left New York and volunteered on a Kibbutz in Israel where I was seen

drawing and was asked to work on an archaeological dig, drawing floor plans

of the excavation site. That led to digs all around the Middle East and the Mediterranean, and years of travel and exploration in Europe,

Scandinavia, the Middle East and Africa.

Searching for a way to combine my love or painting and my love of people’s

stories and worlds, I returned to the US to pursue a career in film.

Moving from the east coast to the west coast,

I attended The American Film Institute in Los Angeles

as a Production Design Fellow graduating with an MFA.

Working primarily in television my projects are varied

and include Grand Avenue, From the Earth to the Moon, The Shield,

The Comeback,American Dreams, Lincoln Heights, Big Love, Getting On,

The Red Road, Ballers and currently the Netflix series Santa Clarita Diet.

I’ve been concurrently teaching a Production Design class at UCLA

for the past few years.

I still love to paint and to do residential design work as well.

I am married with two children. My agents are Frank Balkin and Brian Goldberg
with WPA. Please see contacts if you’d like to reach them and set up a meeting.
