A massive art department undertaking with over 350 sets. We started at Hollywood Center Studios in LA researching and moved with the show to Orlando FL. There we had the cooperation of NASA and went to search through the old NASA bone yard and photo archives. We found original space hardware abandoned in place and were allowed to refurbish and use it. We built space hardware facsimiles from the Mercury Gemini and Apollo missions. I went to Texas to measure Mission Control and we built our own MOCR on stage at Disney Orlando. We built wall to wall in that stage incorporating the fire lane in our hallways, did all the gimbaling with magnets and all the screen work was rear screen projection. We built period homes, astronaut offices, parts of NASA and launch pads and gantry arms. The final episode, for which we were nominated, was based on George Melies’ Voyage Dan La Lune and we built his "glass” green house based on photos from his niece substituting parachute cloth for the glass.
